Fire your ceramics at Field Trip Ceramic Studio

Our kiln is open for external firings! So if you have some ceramic pieces waiting for their kiln firing, now you can bring them to our studio.

Kiln details

Take a look at the specifications of our kiln and let us know if you have any questions - we’re happy to help.

  • We count with an electric kiln, model Nabertherm Top 60.

  • The internal size of the kiln is 41 cm in diameter and 46 cm tall.

  • The maximum firing temperature of our kiln is Cone 9 (1280°C / 2336°F), however we have a limit of programs we can use.

    Bisque firings use 950°C.

    Glaze firings have three options: 1050°C, 1180°C and 1250°C

Glaze Firing

1050°C, 1180°C, 1250°C | 2100 CZK

If you wish to paint your pieces, book a glaze firing and bring your own glazes to the studio.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • We’ll send you an email as soon as your pieces are ready to be picked up. This normally takes 2 to 3 days from the day you leave them at the studio.

  • If you need to cancel a firing, please do so no less than 48 hours in advance to get a refund.

  • Of course, if you wish to glaze your pieces at the studio, you can bring your own set of glazes (we don’t sell glazes at the moment).

    We will happily open our studio for you to glaze your pieces within 2 hours. If you need more time, we charge 200 CZK for each extra hour.

  • The firings do not include any materials besides the kiln and its furniture. So, no, glazes are not included in the firing price.
