We want to make ceramics more accessible to everyone, so we are opening our space so you can come to make your own ceramic projects ✨
Create your own pottery projects
Open studios are a freestyle pottery session where you can create those projects you’ve been thinking about!
Teachers will be available to show you around the studio and help if you have questions.
What to expect
Studio time
During this time, you’d buy clay to do whatever project you have in mind. It could be anything, such as a cup, a bowl, or something more decorative like a sculpture, just to name some examples.
Take the clay home or finish your piece on a follow up session
If you would like to continue working on a piece in later on, spray and wrap your piece, so it can be worked on at a later date (no longer than 2 weeks). Also, take what’s left of your clay home so you can continue working there if you wish.
Studio practice
For some good studio practice, there will be 10 minutes to clean up before you leave. We’ll prepare buckets with water to make this easier for you.
When
Thursdays and Fridays from 18:00 to 22:00.

What to bring
Feel free to bring some photos for inspiration, objects you might want to use as templates or even textures you would like to add to your pieces.

Of course! Using the draping technique you can copy objects tha, you already have. And if you also have any textured fabrics, it’s lots of fun to bring them and play with these on your pieces.

For the open studios, water and tea are included in the price. If however, you wish to bring or buy something to eat and drink, you’re welcome to do so.

We can fit 6 people.

We will let you know via email, SMS or instagram as soon as your pieces are out of the kiln, which depending on how much work there is at the studio, it could range from 1 to 3 weeks.

1 studio hour x 250 CZK
1kg of clay x 100 CZK
Glazes and firings are sold at the studio. The price of the glaze depends on which ones you buy, and the firing cost depends on the volume of your pieces.
